КРАТКОЕ ОПИСАНИЕ ПРОЕКТА
Визуализация европейских идей:
Методология интерактивного обучения
для средних и профессиональных учебных заведений
Ключевые моменты. Проект под названием «Визуализация европейских идей: интерактивная методика преподавания для средних и профессиональных учебных заведений» (INTEREU) заключается в разработке специального интерактивного подхода к преподаванию европейских идей и ценностей, институтов и механизма ЕС в средних и профессиональных школах. Основным результатом является «учебный пакет» из трёх частей:
(1) учебник по концепциям ЕС
(2) рабочая тетрадь для школьников
(3) методическое руководство для школьных учителей и студентов педагогических вузов.
Этот пакет будет дополнен комплектом дидактических материалов для педагогических вузов, а для внедрения в учебный план университета будет предложен специальный «Европа-модуль». Аргументы для введения данного учебного пакета будут включены в список рекомендаций для лиц, принимающих решения.
Предыстория. МГГУ им. Шолохова, и его правопреемник, Московский педагогический государственный университет (МПГУ) имеет многолетний опыт педагогической подготовки и прочную основу для создания инновационной методологии. Концептуальная основа пакета будет разработана с привлечением зарубежных экспертов. Трансформация концепций ЕС в интерактивный учебный материал реализована и опробована Институтом искусств, Институтом филологии и Факультетом журналистики МПГУ.
Обоснование. Эффективное обучение европейских предметов требует специальной методологии. Были определены два ключевых вопроса: (1) как перевести абстрактные концепции на язык, понятный для целевых групп, и (2) как донести новые знания. Визуализация и вербализация с помощью новых средств массовой информации должны быть одним из применимых методов достижения целевых групп и достижения ожидаемых результатов и воздействия.
Потребности. Согласно предварительной оценке ситуации, методология и технология обучения концепции ЕС школьникам не рассматриваются ни в учебных программах педагогических университетов, ни в средних и профессиональных школах России. Чтобы внедрить этот новый модуль в учебные планы, необходимо убедить политиков и государственных служащих (Министерство образования, местные органы власти) в такой необходимости. Вот почему низовой подход следует сочетать с политико-ориентированной процедурой.
Мероприятия. Проект состоит из пяти этапов: семинары по концептуализации, интерактивные и творческие семинары для студентов университетов по дизайну, филологии и журналистике, экспозиция визуальных работ студентов с привлечением учеников и учителей средних школ. Представление учебного пакета лицам, принимающим решения в государственных и муниципальных органах, распространение результатов через профессиональную прессу и социальные сети.
Влияние. От проекта ожидается двойной эффект. Во-первых, студенты университета получают четкое представление о европейских ценностях и приобретают навыки и компетенции для преобразования теоретических знаний в визуальные формы. Школьники могут познакомиться с идеями ЕС визуальным путём. Во-вторых, проект может оказать влияние на процесс решения в области школьного образования путём рекомендаций по внедрению нового модуля в учебные планы.

SHORT SUMMARY
Visualizing the European Ideas:
Interactive Teaching Methodology
for Secondary and Vocational Schools

Key points. The project titled “Visualizing the European Ideas: Interactive Teaching Methodology for Secondary and Vocational Schools” (INTEREU) is to elaborate a special interactive approach for teaching the European ideas and values, EU institutes and mechanism in secondary and vocational schools. The main output is a three-part “learning package”: (1) a textbook on EU concepts, (2) an exercise book titled “Visualization of the ideas, verbalization of images” and (3) a methodological guideline for school teachers. This package will be added by a set of didactic materials for pedagogical universities: a special “Europe-module” will be offered for introduction into the university curriculum. The arguments for introduction will be included into a list of policy recommendations for decision makers.
Background. Moscow State University of Education (MSPU) has a long-tradition experience in pedagogical training, and a solid ground for building an innovative methodology. The conceptual basis of the package will be developed in cooperation with experts from other countries. The transformation of the EU concepts into an interactive teaching material will be implemented and tested by the MSPU Institute of Arts and Design, Institute of Philology, and the Faculty of Journalism.
Rationale. Teaching effectively the European subjects demands a special methodology. Two key questions were identified: (1) how to translate the abstract concepts into a language understandable for the target groups, and (2) how to transfer the new knowledge through new channels. The visualisation and verbalisation through new media supposed to be one of the applicable methods for reaching the target groups, and for achieving the expected results and impact.
Needs. According to the needs assessment, the EU concepts are not addressed neither in the curricula of pedagogical universities, nor the secondary and vocational schools in Russia. (2) To introduce this new module into the curricula, the policy makers and civil servants (Ministry of Education, Local Governments) have to be persuaded about its necessity. That is why a grass-root approach has to be combined with a policy-oriented procedure.
Activities. The project consists of five phases: the conceptualization workshops, the implementation (interactive and creative workshops for university students of design and journalism), the application (internet display and real exhibition for schools, workshops for the teachers of secondary and vocational schools; the policy discussion with decision makers and civil servants; the dissemination through the professional press and social media, and follow-up.
Impact. The expected impact is double. Firstly, the university students obtain clear vision about the European values, and gain skills and competences to transform the theoretical knowledge into visual forms. The students of school can learn about the EU ideas in visual ways. Secondly, the project will have a considerable impact on policy level, offering a list of recommendations for the introduction of a new module into the curricula. A comprehensive study about the lessons learned will be prepared.
Indicators of the achievements are as follows. (1) Quantitative indicators: the number of pedagogical universities, which are ready to introduce the offered programme into their curriculum; the number of secondary and vocational schools, which are ready to adopt this model; the number of visitors of the virtual and real exhibition of the students’ works; the number of policy-makers and civil servants actively involved into the policy discussions. (2) Qualitative indicators: the overall evaluation of the young participants of the project on the methodology and the substantial part of knowledge; the overall evaluation of the school teachers and policy-makers on the usefulness and appropriateness of the recommended model.
